Walking Into the New Year

...like a boss!
and yea yea yea, I know it's February.
I decided that January was just a free trail run; February is the real start of 2018 ;)

Every New Year I decide that part of my New Year's resolution is going to be to consistently blog. That's because every year I try to start off strong & post on a regular schedule, but then I don't. My posts are always far & few between, but with all the major setbacks I've had (especially this past year) I HAD to take a break... not just from blogging, but life in general. I needed to recenter myself. Now that I've centered myself, as centered as I'll ever get, I'm walking back into blogging & into the new year with a fresh sense of hope. I know things won't be perfect. I know it's not going to be easy. I also know that life will happen and my posts might have to take a back seat, causing them to become far & few between again. But I have to be OK with that. I have major things going on. I'm trying to have a baby and that is far from an easy task. I'm going to try, though, to be as consistent as I can with blogging and I hope you'll still be willing to stay with me. Blogging is a creative outlet for me, and I want to keep it fun & not let it become a chore. So I'm going to try to keep a positive attitude and let that overflow into my creativity so I keep blogging on a regular basis. You see... the happier I am, the more creative I am, and the more I want to blog.

So let's move on to the fun stuff!

Some Fabulous Fashion...

I'm a sucker for ruffles!
This lightweight ruffle-sleeved sweater I got from the Gap is the perfect piece to dress up or down. I sized up because I find that shirts with this type of sleeve just fall better on your body when they're slightly over-sized.

I loved pairing the shirt with these simple jeggings & fabulous over-the-knee boots which were a fantastic TJMaxx find for only $20!

To jazz things up, I topped my outfit off with a pair of Celine Sunglasses and a GORG custom quartz necklace from Candles and Confetti

A simple & fabulous outfit that is perfect for a casual night out like having drinks with your friends... or your man/woman; this is a definite cute casual date look :)

So, that's one outfit sharing blog post down, many many more to go... I'm looking at you, 2018

let's do this!

|| my gap top is sold out but I found a similar looking top AND it's on sale
+ if you type 'ruffle' into the search bar, you'll find so many more cute ruffle styled shirts ||
