There isn't water in that cup. Right up there is where I store the juice ;)
To celebrate Valentine's Day, my husband and I got tickets to see 'Chicago' on Broadway. It was, well, all that jazz!

And nope, I will not stop with the puns. I absolutely LOVE the musical 'Chicago' and I think what they did with the movie was fantastic! I had fallen in love with the play before the movie, and I had seen the show on Broadway before. Then the movie came out and I wore-out two DVDs watching it over and over and over again. I was, have and always will be in love with it, and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the day that celebrates love with the one I love than to share with him the show that I love.

I thought I would have to convince my husband to want to see it. The day I brought it up, though, I had started going into my song & dance about how it would be so apropos to go see 'Chicago' together for Valentine's Day when he stopped me (he knew what I was doing) and said "Ang, you don't have to convince me. I like that type of show. I'd want to see it." I was thrilled. We looked up ticket dates, and since this year's Valentine's Day fell in the middle of the week, we decided to get tickets to see the show for the weekend after the 14th and that is exactly how we celebrated.

Now even though most people think of wearing red/pink on V Day, even seen on me in my last blog post with my Valentine's inspiration looks, I actually personally love to wear black. It's the color I feel the most sexy in and that's how I want to feel for Valentine's.

I wore, what are actually quite comfortable, black leather leggings and a sequin black lace cami with an extra long blazer. I finished the outfit by adding a pair of studded booties, and my magenta fur coat for warmth which I have on in the picture at the top of this post. Now the blazer is actually the 'Two Way Convertible Zip Blazer' from JustFab This means that where the seam in the middle is, there is a zipper that can detach the bottom half of the blazer and you can wear it at normal length.

Want to hear another secret? The reason I couldn't stop touching my hair was because I tried out a new dry shampoo. It is now my favorite. It's Tarte's 'Hair Goals' (also available at Sephora) and it's truly better than any other dry shampoo I've ever tried. First, it has absolutely NO residue which is a must for me. I remember when everyone was thrilling over the Batiste dry shampoo which, in fact, does work nicely, but my goodness! The white residue! Then the brand came out with their dry shampoo for dark hair... that one just sprayed dark residue. No. No. No. I couldn't take it any longer and so my search for the perfect dry shampoo couldn't stop at Batiste, it had to continue. Then one day I was checking out the after-holiday sale Tarte was having when I happen to come across 'Hair Goals'. It was on sale at half off the original price and it had great reviews which most importantly claimed it didn't leave any residue. So I bought two bottles (it worked out better that way, money-wise, than just buying one) and I'm so glad I did. As I said, there is no residue, and in addition, it also adds texture to what would otherwise be flat two or three (or four, I'm not judging) day hair, it smells great, and it works. It's Perfect... and I've since bought an additional two bottles.

Back to the outfit,

for my accessories, I used my new Swarovski purse that my mom gave to me as a Christmas gift. Isn't it dazzling?? I don't know how I was able to see with so much sequins in my eyes... yep, I'm still going with the puns... As you can tell by the name, the purse is made with Swarovski Crystals along with black leather with silver hardware & detachable chain. In the picture at the top, it and myself are KiraKira-d, but hey, when you razzle-dazzle, people never catch wise! :-) For jewelry, I'm wearing my Cartier 'Love' ring, my scripted 'Love' ring, and my 'Multi-Gemstone' ring from Bluenile to make a razzle-dazzling ring stack.

For my makeup up, I kept things simple while still keeping it hot by using Buxom's new Va-Va Plump Liquid Lipstick in the color 'Kiss & Tell' (available also at Sephora & Ulta)

Now when I go out, I don't usually wear my glasses, and yes, I do need/wear glasses...

but I was going to a show, and I can't see more than a few feet in front of me without them so I needed to wear them to fully enjoy said show...

I'm usually so silly & neurotic about wearing them out that I'll just keep them in my purse and only put them on when I'm seated in the theater actively watching...

With this outfit & the whole women's-meets-menswear tuxedo look I was going for, though, I played it fast & loose and wore them out completely... and that's good. Isn't it grand? Isn't it great? Isn't it swell? Isn't it fun? Isn't it?

Oh, it's heaven... and all that jazz!
