Double Buckle Belt

A double bubble whadda? A double buckle belt. Let's get into it!

I believe the world can be divided into two schools of people; those who wear belts for function and those who wear belts for style. I'm definitely in the latter group and I'm definitely in love with the double buckle belt.

If you're in the first group, I can understand how you may be looking at this thinking "Why the hell would I want to attempt to wear that?" I get it. This type of belt certainly isn't the easiest belt to wear, and it certainly can be nonfunctional when it comes to actually holding your pants up. But if you're in the second group (like me) then this belt is for you!

If you're already into fashion over function, then you're already used to wearing... shall we say... 'complicated' pieces. This belt will be a little complicated to figure out when you first go to put it on and you may even need a little help with the hole to buckle ratio, then again, that may have just been a personal problem I had since I'm dyslexic... you may be able to figure that out all on your own just fine... but it will take a little bit of effort to put this belt on. It is different from your plain old run-o'-the-mill belt, so you're not going to be able to just put it on like your plain old run-o'-the-mill belt. You'll have to first get the sides equal, find which is you're best fitting center, decide how high or low you want to wear it because that will determine how much of space is in between the buckles, etc... BUT once you've gotten everything placed just right and everything fits perfectly, you're gonna fall in love with the double buckle belt too.

It certainly adds so much extra style without being too over-the-top. I mean, look, all I'm wearing is a plain black cami and a pair of jeans. Simple, classic, but with the double buckle belt -I bought mine from ASOS, all of sudden it changes the whole style of the outfit. This definitely would have been a completely different outfit without the belt, not a bad outfit, but I like this one better ;)

Now, you see how I have the belt under my jean loops? That may not be possible for you. So that's another thing you're going to want to keep in mind when you get this belt. Whether the belt can fit through the loops of your jeans, if that's how you want to wear them, because you will have to put both buckles through the loops to wear it like this. Otherwise, you could just wear them over the loops OR just wear the belt up high around your waist, like over dresses for example. Again, just something to think about beforehand.

But I've gotten it all figured out, and I couldn't be happier!

  1. How do you get the belt through the pant loops?
