Shark Dive Blitz!

Last weekend was kind of a big deal... It was my birthday AND I went shark diving!

Say What?!?!

That's right! Shark Diving!!

Ever since I saw "Jaws" for the first time, I have been obsessed with sharks. I can't explain it. I've written before about my fear of the ocean... as in the ocean, the water, itself. My husband and I actually watched "The Finest Hours" this weekend which was great by the way, and one of the characters actually said it best: "I just can't see what's underneath." That's exactly it. I have absolutely no idea what's down there. That, coupled with the fact that I just so happen to believe that Megalodon does, in fact, still exist, is what really freaks me out. I can't see down there, I believe giant prehistoric eating machines are down there, AND no one can tell me otherwise because you can't see down there either!

Anywho, so shark diving. My mother has always known how much I love sharks, so this year, she decided to take me shark diving for my birthday present. She was so excited when she booked the dive that she told me right away which was months ago. So I had been waiting for months for this.
I had been so excited, but the morning of, I have to admit, I freaked out!
I woke up at 5am and thought it was an excellent idea to watch tsunami documentaries. Yea Angela, let's watch documentaries on all the danger, death and destruction that the water can cause on the day you're going diving with sharks. Perfect idea!  My husband woke up a couple of hours later and when he walked into the living room, I turned to him and said "I don't think I can do it!" He just looked at me with the saddest look on his face. He knows how much I love sharks and knew how much I'd been looking forward to this dive. He couldn't understand what was making me afraid. And to be honest, I don't know what was either.

I decided that the best course of action was to get ready, STOP THINKING, go, and just decide whether or not I would get in the water when I got there.

I did, and I am glad I did! As soon as we got there, we were late, so I was shuffled off so quickly that I had absolutely no time to think about anything. And that's exactly what I needed. When I decide to do something, it's usually quickly and without any second thought. I was too much in my head and I just needed to get out and enjoy this awesome opportunity. And again, I am so happy I did.

It was honestly the coolest thing I have ever done so far!

I absolutely loved it and it truly was amazing!
Later that night, I had a birthday dinner at my favorite restaurant with my nearest and dearests. It was great being around the ones I love, sharing even more great experiences with them...

...of course, in a great outfit ;)

You can get details on where I got my dress up on my Instagram Page @mostly_maple

And here are detail pictures of my GORG  custom jewelry pieces from Candles and Confetti HERE

So that was what was up last weekend. This fine weekend, I went out with my mom to the Miracle Mile to have a little lunch and then for some shopping with all the great sales.

In particular, the Gap is having an amazing sale. ALL shirts are only $10... TEN DOLLARS!
It's a miracle I only bought 4 HAHA :)

Then I spent some needed time with my wonderful husband who, by the way, also bought me an amazing birthday present which I would like to share.

Louis Vuitton is never a bad idea, and the color! GORG!

Well, I hope you all had an incredible Memorial Day Weekend and I'd like to send my appreciation to all our troops both past and present who have fought for our country; Thank You!

Enjoy your week everyone!
