The A,B,C,Ds of Jewelry

Agate . Bauble Bangles . Custom Cuffs . Druzy

My Latest Obsessions all shown here on this lovely Bracelet Organizer from PolkaDotDrawer

Let's talk first about Stone Jewelry in general. I first fell in love with this type of jewelry when I took a little summer vacation up to Howe Caverns. The vacation package that my husband and I bought included mining. Yes, mining. They give you a bag of dirt and you mine out all the pretty stones that can happen to be in the bag that you pick. See...

1. You slowly pour the bag of dirt into the Miller Table

2. You put the Miller Table into the running water to separate the Stones from the Dirt

3. You look to see what Stones you have

Then if you find any Stones you want, like this one...

4. You collect them into a bag to take home and/or make into Jewelry

Of course I had to make some jewelry... especially because I actually mined for the stones myself :)

Now, let's talk about Druzy. Alphabetically speaking, I'm out of order since A is before D, but this is the order in which the different types of jewelry provoked my interest.  So we'll start with the Ds...

I had no idea Druzy Jewelry existed until I was given a pair of Druzy earrings as a gift.
I got these about 4 or 5 years ago and I loved them at first sight. I had never seen anything like this before in jewelry. It was so different and beautiful.

After that, last year I believe it was, I went to a Native American Festival which had a lot of different booths set up with different things for sale. I came across this one booth that was selling these beautiful necklaces and I had to buy one. This is when I fell in love with Agate.

Then I found this amazing shop called Candles and Confetti! Not only did this shop fulfill my need for more Druzy and Agate jewelry, but I was introduced to Bauble Bangles and I became addicted. I couldn't believe my eyes. There were so many beautiful pieces and I knew I needed something, but I didn't know where to start. But that's the great thing about small, one-woman operated shops. You can talk to the owner, who makes the jewelry herself all by hand, and she can help design something for you that you'll love. And boy did she go above and beyond my expectations.
First I started with the Connector Bangles
After that I started with the Bauble Bangles, then never stopped!

All of the Bauble Bangles are from Candles and Confetti except for the Animal Print Bangles which were a gift from my mother-in-law from The Sis Kiss
(another awesome shop that sells Beautiful Bangles)

Look at all these beautiful pieces. They are all custom-made, and you can mix and match and add them to other pieces that you already own. They're just perfect, and I can not get enough.
Here's my latest package that arrived
Even the Packaging is Beautiful!
And the owner is always coming up with new and beautiful designs, like these that I just also had to have...

And now for the Custom Cuffs. I came across this shop called The Silver Loft. There were so many beautiful pieces, but when I came across the cuffs that you could have custom-made with any saying you wanted, I was floored. I thought, "What a fantastic idea!" How many of us have our favorite quotes from our favorite movies or our idols, or those inside jokes, nicknames, or personal words that mean so much to us. Well now you can buy and wear them and/or gift them on a sweet cuff.

I don't mind living in a mans world as long as I can be a woman in it.
I have a couple more, and I can't wait to buy even more with some of my other favorite sayings.

So there you have it. The A, B, C, and Ds of Jewelry. Now go and shop some for yourself!
