Erin Go Bragh!

I'm not Irish, but my husband is half Irish so I kind of consider myself Irish by marriage... at least on St. Patrick's Day that is. I know that St. Patty's was last month, but there were a few things I wanted to mention about it so I figured a post about it was better late than never.

On the Saturday of the weekend before St. Patrick's Day my brother, Eddie, and his girlfriend, Soledad, invited us over their apartment to celebrate. It was actually our first time seeing their place because they had just moved in a few months ago so it was great not only celebrating the day with them, but also seeing their new place. P.S. Eddie and Soledad's cornbeef dinner was the best I have ever had!

I don't own many green colored clothes, but I do own some St. Patty accessories so I gathered them all up and wore them to bring green into my outfit.

The bottom picture is obviously not a picture of me... that's my puppy nephew, Bruno :)

On St. Patrick's Day, my husband's Union IUOE Local 30, was honored by having it's Business Manager Jack Ahern as the Grand Marshall of the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade and by having some of it's brothers march in the parade to represent the Union. So Proud!

And then the next Friday, my husband and I went to the Plattdeutsche because they were having an Irish celebration with a great Irish band called Bangers & Mash playing. If you're into Celtic Rock, then you'll love them. They play the perfect combination of Celtic Rock and Traditional Irish music. You can check them out on their Facebook page and look up their schedule here

Here are some pictures from the event

Yes I was drinking beer through a straw, but that was only because I didn't want to mess-up my lipstick.

Well that's it for now, just some of my Irish pride that I wanted to share with you. Happy Saturday and I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.
