Happy Halloween

Halloween is my husband's favorite and my second favorite (Christmas being the first) holiday of the year! We love decorating the house, dressing up and going to great parties, the trick-or-treaters... I've noticed though, at least where we live, that there are barely any trick-or-treaters at all anymore. I remember as a child as soon as school let out everybody running to change into their costumes and going all around the neighborhood to collect candy. It was great. Now I never get any trick-or-treaters at my house, and when I drive around I might see a few smatterings of them here and there, but nowhere near like it was when I was a child. I find it sad. I'm hoping it's just my neighborhood which my husband and I plan on moving out of so, when we do move, it will be like it used to be for our future children.

But other than the trick-or-treaters, Halloween is still great. This year my husband and I went to a great annual party at a local Beer Garden last Friday night to celebrate. Here are a few pictures we took from the party...

It really was a great night. We danced all night to great music and enjoyed everyone's company and their costumes. It's great going to a 21+ party where every other adult there is into Halloween just as much as you are. Everyone puts so much effort into their costumes. Here
is the album from the party's photographer. The entertainer Bruce Jacques was awesome. He's a comedic musician and he was perfect for the Halloween party.

Tonight my husband and I are just going to stay in and watch Halloween movies all night. Some of our favorite must sees are: The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, The Halloween Tree, Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and of course it wouldn't be Halloween without Young Frankenstein... the greatest Halloween movie of all time. Of course some of my other favorites include the classics. I'm a huge classic movie fan. I'm talking about the original Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Werewolf, Dracula, etc. And today I've been watching a bunch of Christopher Lee movies. As I write this, I'm watching The Devil's Bride.

So everyone I hope you enjoy your Halloween and have a safe night.
